Their main focus areas are small and medium-sized hydropower projects in Norway and abroad. Their core business is to develop and deliver effective, reliable and innovative energy solutions based on water. We have state of the art technology for medium and high head hydropower turbines, pump turbines, turbine controls, inlet valves, gates and penstock. We are also the leading Norwegian company for excitation and governor equipment. We are a leading supplier of service and rehabilitation projects for the hydropower industry with focus on both hydro mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.

Rainpower ASA are looking to build and take advantage of the quality supply chain from the UK to supply products and services for their upcoming projects in Norway and around the world.
Rainpower currently spend around £20-30m per year on components and subcontracting.
Potential Suppliers must:
- look to be long-term partners not one off suppliers
- have quality throughout - Rainpower products have 60 year life span
- be able to operate openly
- have some experience in Hydro.

- Components for large Pelton, Francis, Reversible Turbines

Meet the Buyer
The Norwegian Collaboration Centre will be running two meet the buyer sessions for suppliers who provide the above products and services. These events will take place in Newcastle and Rotherham, June 2011.

The Norwegian Collaboration Centre is producing a Norwegian language procurement guide for Rainpower ASA. Rainpower will use this guide as a reference for future UK suppliers.
Companies attending must be included in the procurement guide.
- Companies with existing annual profiles receive a reduced rate for attendance (£100+VAT).
- Companies attending needing a Norwegian language profile for the event have the following rate for its production and attendance (£250+VAT).
New companies attending the event will receive a Norwegian language profile. This will appear in:

- New Mobile App distributed across to Norwegian Buyers
